Compostable labels and laminates are made with BioTak adhesive which can be composted within 90 days via industrial composting processes. Their compostable adhesives are water based PSA from a modified acrylic copolymer. The adhesive and BioLife products are certified to EN13432 and complies EC1935/2004 & FDA (175.105) for direct food applications, making it a great option for those who need commercial food packaging.

Bio4Life’s packaging solutions offer a range of options, all using the Biotak adhesives. Their PLA based products are made from a high content of renewable resources and can be highly versatile in providing the same high quality as normal packaging. The labels made from this PLA are resistant to oil and grease.

They also offer a thermal eco-paper which is compostable and suitable for food packaging. Their machine coated paper is wood-free and made of FSC pulp or NatureFlex which is wood pulp from non-GMO sources.

Sugarcane fiber papers are also available depending on the needs of the customer. The papers are biodegradable, compostable, recyclable, and available in bleached and unbleached options.

BioTAK adhesive
All our materials are coated with our own patented BioTAK adhesive. BioTAK is the world’s first certified compostable adhesive for labelling. It is a water bourne PSA based on a specially modified acrylic co-polymer. The adhesive is permanently tacky with a strong initial tack and adheres on a wide variety of substrates. This enables compostale labelling for many different applications. The adhesive is certified to EN13432 and complies with EC1935/2004 & FDA (175.105) for direct food applications.
