Planet Bioplastics is an innovative start-up, spin-off of the University of Pisa , born in July 2017 from the business idea of six partners, two university professors with many years of research experience in the field of biopolymers, a commercial expert specialized in the sector and three entrepreneurs who own a company that carries out plastic materials recycling and compounding activities.
Planet Bioplastics’ mission is the development of biodegradable bioplastics with a high content of components deriving from renewable sources, which are compostable and / or recyclable.
Our products, which are based on biopolymers and biodegradable additives with a high content of organic carbon, result in some formulations also compostable in industrial and / or home composting, and / or degradable in the soil and in the sea.
The applications of the products range from the production of special FILMS, to INJECTION MOLDING and THERMOFORMING.
