In order to reduce the amount of plastic waste, Papkot has created primary and secondary packaging substitutes for bags, cups and many other types of disposables. This 100% inorganic and plastic-free technology gives many properties such as hydrophobicity, lipophilicity, and fire-resistance to the paper. This means that unlike other pure-paper packaging material, Papkot packaging is resistant to grease, water and fire, making it more like plastic.
This packaging also has the unique property of being free of fluorine, a highly dangerous chemical. The active ingredients in the ceramic are approved by FDA and BFR 36 for food grade packaging. Moreover, the coated paper is moldable, can be printed on, and takes the same time to decompose as uncoated paper.

Fluorine free
Do you know that almost all current “paper packaging” contains fluorine molecules to help it resist water and grease? Fluorine is extremely hazardous! Papkot performs as well as Capstone, Solvera, and other PFOA-based coatings while avoiding the use of this hazardous chemical!
Plastic free
Did you know that you can make plastic out of oil, lettuce, milk, or seaweed? It’s not just a pity, but it’s also dangerous. But, in the end, who cares? No bio-based or oil-based plastic is used by Papkot.
