LAM’ON

One World. One Market. One Source. BPX.One

Lamination is all around us – that’s the invisible clear film used to seal and preserve print materials and cardboard packaging in advertising and publishing. Unfortunately, it makes products almost impossible to recycle.

THE PROBLEM

Laminate is used in every single industry – food, cosmetics, pharmacy, apparel, everywhere. Yet, less than 14% of over 27.4M metric tons of flexible packaging are recycled annually. The rest is left in landfills, soil and oceans for hundreds or thousands of years.

LAM’ON LTD
We have a solution. A 100% biodegradable and fully compostable laminating film and a packaging foil, made of corn.

LAM’ON LTD is a start-up company that disrupts the printing and packaging market with two highly innovative products – a 100% biodegradable and fully compostable laminating film and a packaging foil, made of corn.

Our products look and feel the same as current solutions, are used in the same way and are at a competitive price. The only difference is they won’t outlive us all.

LAMINATING FILM

LAM’ON is the only solution for print finish lamination that is suitable for compost, applicable on the standard machines currently used by printers and publishers, and available at a competitive price.

SUSTAINABLE ORIGIN
Our products are based on Polylactic Acid (PLA), derived from corn.

HEALTHIER WORK ENVIRONMENT
There are no VOC emissions during the production and use of our products. This allows us to provide a healthier environment for the people producing or using them.

ANTI-BACTERIAL PROPERTIES
An innovative antimicrobial additive based on metallic silver nanoparticles.

SUSTAINABLE END OF LIFE
Our film and foil are 100% biodegradable and break down into natural materials such as water, carbon dioxide, and composite.

BETTER QUALITY
The polymer threads in our products are biaxially oriented. This makes them stronger, more durable, and less prone to tearing, unlike other PLA-based foils, and allows for a much more diverse use of our products.

TOXIC-FREE GLUE
A toxic-free adhesive layer, developed specifically for the needs of the industry.

PACK’ON

PACKAGING FOIL
PACK’ON is a 100% biodegradable clear packaging foil that’s suitable for compost.

SUITABLE FOR FOOD PACKAGING
A chemically and biologically reactive compound, oxygen accelerates the growth of microorganisms responsible for mold, yeast, and other harmful fungi. Оur formula allows us to provide oxygen barrier properties to a PLA-based foil.

NO MIGRATIONS
Our foil’s SGS Test Report demonstrates that there are no migrations of oils and other elements from the foil, making it food and cosmetics safe.

THERMAL SEAM
An industry standard when it comes to food packaging, and already proven to work perfectly on mass packaging machines by one of our early adopters.

SUSTAINABILITY
There is a widespread misconception that PLA is made from corn that should be used for food.

However only part of the corn – the starch, is used to make PLA. The plant-based proteins are directed to make ingredients for salad dressing, snack foods, pet feed, and more, thereby allowing a single kernel of corn to produce both PLA and food products. Not to mention less than 1% of the available U.S. corn crop is used for this purpose.

No food was harmed during the production of our foils.
