BioSolutions

One World. One Market. One Source. BPX.One

BioSolutions is a pioneer in the development and production of bioplastic compounds of natural fibers that reuses by-products of the agave industry as well as other sources of biomass with the aim of offering biomaterials for the plastics industry.

Awarded with several national and international awards, more than five years in the market and with a granted patent, BioSolutions offers the plastics industry an alternative of bio-based and sustainable material for products and packaging. The bioplastics of BioSolutions are biobased materials, based on renewable cellulose fibers. They are not biodegradable materials since they are focused on durable markets and products that can be re-used.

The end of life of the products is the 100% recyclable which allows them to give way to the Circular Economy and real sustainability of the materials.

Currently, BioSolutions takes advantage of agave bagasse fibers – considered a waste of the tequila and honey industry – as well as other agro-industrial byproducts in the region. The bioplastics are materials derived partly or wholly from renewable sources, unlike plastics from oil (finite resource, nonrenewable).

The bioplastic compounds of BioSolutions serve as a sustainable alternative to traditional plastics offering the same performance while reducing the carbon footprint of the products and the companies that consume them. Agave fiber serves as a reinforcement in bioplastic products.

Although plastic is still present in BioSolutions compound, the goal of this innovator is to obtain a 100% biodegradable plastic from agave, that does not contain synthetic materials.
