Alterra Holdings is a fast-growing compounder with a core expertise in technical plastics compounding, elastomers, and R&D. We are organized around our customers and their needs from development to production. Our state of the art production lines include twin screw extruders ranging from 16 mm, for R&D, to 103 mm, for large scale production. Our state of art polymer testing lab to ensure that we provide our customers with accurate data for R&D, and so we can adhere to strict quality control standards during production.
Alterra produces specialty elastomers and bioplastics through its subsidiaries. These include: cross-linked butyl rubbers, TPVs, TPEs, and Biopolymers. We work with many biopolymers, such as BioTPEs, PLAs, PHAs, PBATs that are marine degradable and/or compostable. Our downstream capabilities include R&D, drying, sheet production, thermoforming, and injection molding.
Alterra Holdings operates manufacturing facilities in Seymour, Indiana and Clifton, New Jersey, both of which are ISO 9001 certified. These facilities have over 100 million pounds of compounding capacity. With these capabilities, we are confident that we can meet your compounding needs.
